Property management

London & Oxford is responsible for managing properties on behalf of investors. Its specialisation to date has been covering the UK office and retail sectors. This business group is led by John Hampson who was previously Chief Executive of Electra Property Finance in conjunction with Paul Newton who has extensive experience of the property market.

Strategic Planning

John Hampson and Paul Newton have many years experience as principals of owning, developing and managing all types of commercial and residential property. This enables them to devise highly effective property management strategies to augment portfolio income. Alongside this, the setting of rigorous budgets, robustly executed, extracts maximum value from expenditure.

Tenant Relationships

A highly important but often overlooked aspect of property management is the establishing of successful, lasting relationships with tenants. The company treats all its tenants as valued customers. Through awareness of their business needs and anticipation of premises issues, continuity of occupation - the key to successful portfolio economic performance – is maintained at very high levels.

Tailored Reporting

Management is not only familiar with, but is also able to accommodate the wide range of services demanded by institutional investors. It is able to tailor reporting to suit each client so that individual requirements are catered for and any particular concerns are identified and dealt with at an early stage.

Legacy Properties

Many of our clients seek solutions to disposing of surplus properties, particularly where properties are held on medium to long term leases. Often a surrender back to the land lord is either difficult to negotiate or expensive. A “no action” approach of passively managing out these lease hold properties can also prove expensive when properly costed and, in any event, can be a major distraction to a firm’s underlying business. London & Oxford is prepared to take responsibility for all future liabilities and on going running costs of such portfolios either in partnership or on a full “hold harmless” basis. In all cases, London & Oxford seeks to work with companies to find the most effective solution.
